The Lagos State Governance Advisory Council (GAC) Inspection and Assessment Team, led by Distinguished Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, visited Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA yesterday to review the performance of the council’s Executive Chairman, Bldr. Olusesan Daini. The Executive Chairman joined Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun to welcome the delegation to the council secretariat.
Before the Chairman’s presentation, a stakeholder meeting was convened, gathering traditional leaders, including the Adeboruwa and Olubeshe in council, along with the Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA Apex leaders, the CDC, market leaders,NYCN, artisans, CAN representatives, the Muslim Association, and youth leaders. This session provided an opportunity for direct feedback from the community on the council’s performance and initiatives.
During his presentation after the Statehokders meeting, Bldr. Daini provided a comprehensive summary of his administration’s achievements, highlighting significant strides in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and youth empowerment. He underscored projects like school improvements, healthcare facility upgrades, road rehabilitations, and community development programs, which have transformed the lives of Igbogbo/Baiyeku residents.
Distinguished Senator Obanikoro applauds the chairman for his impressive efforts, noting the significant progress made in various sectors despite the constraints often faced by local councils. He remarked, “It is inspiring to see the level of development in Igbogbo/Baiyeku. Your achievements reflect strong dedication and a commitment to the community’s needs.”
The GAC Inspection and Assessment Team’s visit concluded with commendations for the chairman’s work, underscoring the importance of transparency and community engagement in governance.
