Lagos State Sports Commission Director General, Lekan Fatodu earlier today visited Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA. Meeting with the Executive Chairman, Bldr. Olusesan Daini, in a significant move to advance community sports infrastructure. Together, they paid a courtesy visit to Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, a member of the Lagos State Governance Advisory Council. During their meeting, Asiwaju Basorun shared his ongoing commitment to bringing a stadium to Igbogbo, reflecting his dedication to enhancing sports opportunities and community pride.
After visiting Asiwaju Basorun, the Chairman, Director General, and Asiwaju proceeded to the Igbogbo Stadium site for an on-ground inspection where the Director General assessed the stadium’s current condition while discussing with Chairman Daini potential strategies and partnerships to accelerate the facility’s completion. This collaborative effort signals a major step toward establishing a fully developed stadium that will benefit local athletes and residents, reinforcing the Lagos State government’s commitment to grassroots sports development in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.
