Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) earlier today embarked on a project to improve sanitation and facility at Methodist Primary School in Elepe. The project involves the construction of a block of eight modern toilets, aimed at providing better hygiene facilities for students and staff.
The initiative has garnered widespread support from the local community as parents and teachers expressed their gratitude, noting that the new facilities would significantly improve the school’s environment. “This new block of toilets will address a longstanding need in our school. It will undoubtedly have a positive impact on our students’ health and their overall school experience.” The Headmistress said.
The construction of the toilets is expected to be completed within the next 4 weeks and the LCDA has assured the community of timely and high-quality work to ensure the facility is ready for use as soon as possible. The project will be supervised by the Works and Infrastructure Department of the LCDA and would be constructed by Hadmeth Global Resources Ltd. The Executive Chairman, Bldr. Olusesan Daini called on the school management to maintain and take care of the new facility once they it is completed, stressing the importance of collective responsibility in sustaining public infrastructure.
Bldr. Daini in an interview stated that the project is part of the larger strategy to improve public infrastructure across the LCDA. “We are committed to ensuring that every child in our community has access to quality education and the necessary facilities to thrive,” he said.
